Graduate Students join Climate Up Close | Oct 12
Climate Up Close works to restore civility to the national conversation about climate change by explaining the scientific consensus clearly, without partisanship or policy prescriptions. They challenge both denialism and fatalism—the opposing extremes that too often distort climate discourse. Their group of four Ph.D. climate scientists from Cornell, Harvard, and Columbia will hold a panel discussion on climate science communication, sharing best practices they have learned after dozens of events and tours across seven states.

Call for Abstracts: Coastal Geo Tools | Due Sept 28, 2026
Navigating a Changing Coast: Strengthening State, Local, and Tribal Resilience with Emerging Geospatial Technologies
You are invited to submit abstracts of 300 words or less for the 2027 Coastal GeoTools Conference, held in Charleston, South Carolina, from January 25 to 27, 2027. Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission form by September 28, 2026. Presenters are responsible for all expenses related to preparing and presenting their papers. Additionally, all presenters must pay registration fees and attend the conference in person.
Submitted abstracts will undergo peer review, and acceptance emails will be sent in late October.
